Our restaurant “Thurntaler Rast” is known as a cozy (ski) hut on Villgrater’s local mountain. We offer our guests entertainment, conviviality and first-class catering. Your children will have the opportunity to experience a vacation in untouched nature. Our playground promises adventure and fun and never lets boredom arise even with small guests!

The "ski lodge
Since 1974, the Ortner family has been running gastronomy on Villgrater’s local mountain. At that time, the Thurntaler Rast was built in order to be able to serve the skiers at the then Thurntaler T-bar lift, especially in winter. Since then, not only has the ski area constantly developed, but the Thurntaler Rast has also been modernized and expanded (most recently in 2013).
In winter it is still the “ski hut” of yesteryear, but especially in summer it is also a culinary insider tip for gourmets. In addition, 5 apartments allow vacations directly in the skiing and hiking area Thurntaler at 2,000 m above sea level – a unique experience!

Especially in the summer season the Thurntaler Rast is an insider tip for all gourmets! We process mainly local products to traditional Tyrolean dishes or international delicacies.
Our matching wine selection is small, but very fine!
